Design Flooring supply and fit wool, synthetic carpets and natural fibre carpets in various designs from reputable brands such as Cormar, Lifestyle Floors, Victoria Carpets, Brockway, Abingdon and Manx Tomkinson.
You may feel a little overwhelmed with the huge choice of carpet available, but we will be able to help you decide which one is most suited to your needs and style.
Whether youre looking for striped, plain, patterned, budget or luxury we are confident we can help you make the right choice
Wool carpets are a more traditional option, they are hard wearing so ideal for well used areas such as stairs and landings. This type of carpet comes in twist, loop and berber designs.
Man-made synthetic carpets are increasingly more and more popular with our customers. They are moth proof, easily cleaned, come in a variety of colours and are very durable. The majority of our synthetic carpets are suitable for heavy domestic use.
If its a natural fibre carpet you are looking for such as Sisal, Seagrass or Coir please click here.
We also supply carpet tiles, most commonly used in commercial environments. Please get in touch if you would like a quote for these.
We are able to fit your new carpet over your current underlay, however, we strongly recommend purchasing a new underlay along with your new carpet. The underlay is what supports your carpet and is crucial for it to wear well and last as long as possible.
We use high quality 9mm underlay as standard which is perfect for any areas including stairs and landings and areas that get the most wear. We also offer an 8mm underlay most suited to lesser used areas like bedrooms and a 10mm underlay for a more luxurious feel.
When it is time to have your carpet fitted it can be quite a major job to remove all of your furniture to prepare the room. Please let us know if you need a hand with this, our fitters are happy to move larger items when necessary so you don't need to struggle.
We always ask that you remove as many of your belongings as possible to allow our fitters to move large items such as shelving units with ease and to prevent any breakages. Occasionally for very excessive amounts of furniture to be removed there may be a small extra charge, but this is something that can be discussed at consultation.
Your new flooring might be much thicker than your previous one, so it may be necessary to trim any doors to get the correct amount of clearance and to save damaging the new carpet. This is something that our fitters are able to do if necessary which will be discussed in the consultation.
